Giving

“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.”
2 Corinthians 9:7-8

PCI has produced The Grace of Giving Resource which you may find useful in Framing your understanding of Giving.

You can give in the following ways:
01

Bank Transfer

To give via Bank Transfer, please use the following account details:

Account Name: Shore Street Congregation
Sort Code: 98-05-30

Bank: Ulster Bank, Springhill, Bangor

If you are a regular giver, please use your surname and Free Will Offering (FWO) number (if known) as your payment reference. e.g SMITH123. Also can we ask that you email acccounts@shorestreet.org once your transfer is complete to ensure the payment is allocated correctly to your FWO account.

02

Standing Order

If you are comfortable in setting up a standing order yourself please set it up using this Standing Order Form and forward a copy of the completed form to the Treasurer once set up. Use your surname and FWO number (if known) as the payment reference. e.g SMITH123

If you aren’t confident in internet banking call at your nearest branch who can assist you in setting up the standing order, and again forward a copy of the completed form to the Treasurer once set up.

Please note your FWO standing order can be split into different church funds upon request.

03

Church Envelopes

You can contribute cash or a cheque (made payable to Shore Street Presbyterian Church) via Church envelopes.

If you require a set of envelopes please contact our Gift Aid Treasurer, Caroline (giftaid@shorestreet.org or 07810 158069).

04

Gift Aid

Gift Aid is a government scheme available to all charities, and it allows charities to reclaim any
income tax paid on a donation, provided that donation is traceable to an individual (e.g. if you give
by envelope, standing order or online bank transfer).

For every £4 that you give we can claim £1 extra from the government at no extra cost to you if you sign up for gift-aid and are a UK taxpayer.

If you are a UK taxpayer you may wish to consider allowing the church to benefit from gift aid on all your donations by completing our Gift Aid Form.

Once complete, either scan it to gift@shorestreet.org, post it to church, hand it back to Caroline (our gift aid Treasurer) or drop it in the collection plate any Sunday.

If you can’t print out the form please let us know and we will get a copy to you.

Please note: If you have already submitted a gift aid declaration and you no longer pay tax please contact the Gift Aid Treasurer immediately so we can update your gift aid status accordingly.

If you require any further assistance on any of the above, please contact:
Treasurer (Stephen Jamison) on 07709 824798 or accounts@shorestreet.org
or Gift Aid Treasurer (Caroline) on 07810 158069 or giftaid@shorestreet.org
